In competing LG phone market, Samsung released two variants of its products; the 5600 and S5230. These two phones are intended to compete with LG Cookie by featuring 3G connection and touch screen. The Samsung S5600 is intended for midrange user in which the price is much affordable for people looking for 3G touch screen cell phone. In fact, the shape, size and display remind people to the HTC touch and this fact has clearly shows that this cell phone is not a smart phone.

The Samsung S5600 is a touch screen phone which has no keypad. The screen display is 2.8 inch with QVGA resolution. The resolution might not be great but remembering that this is not a high end cell phone, this is acceptable. The dimensions of this cell phone are 102.8 x 54.8 x 12.9 mm. This cell phone is equipped with 80MB of memory and a micro SD card slot that can be swapped with memory card up to 16GB. 3 megapixel camera with LED flash and smile detection becomes a beneficial feature of this cell phone. The other additional features added to this phone are gesture lock, FM radio, and accelerator sensor.

There has been any additional information about Samsung S5600 since it was firstly exhibited in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
